I, Me, Mine. Bonjour, I’m Jericho Keys a BBC presenter, journalist and DJ.

I grew up (which I say loosely) in what’s accurately known as God’s little acre, Whitby.

Throughout my life, stereotypically as a northerner, music and football have always been a way of life. The two go together like a pie and a pint.

When I realised I wasn’t going to be scoring any last minute winners for Leeds United at the KOP end, I decided to throw myself into music – in whatever form that may be.

I knew deep down from the outset that I wanted to be a specialist music presenter, due to having the ability to talk a glass eye to sleep about music everytime I was in anyone’s company.

To cut a long story I now present BBC Introducing every Saturday night between 8pm – 10pm on BBC Radio York, showcasing the best unsigned, undiscovered and under the radar bands and artists from across York and North Yorkshire.

I’ve presented on BBC Radio One a handful of times, produced packages for BBC Radio 6 Music and also had an interview played on BBC Radio 4’s Pick Of The Week.

I’ve introduced and curated festival stages throughout the UK, written music reviews and spun the odd disc here and there.

So if you’re looking for a website that has the most important thing at its heart- MUSIC- then stick with me, and I’d do what I can to tick the boxes.

Whether you’re looking for interviews with established musicians, podcasts of new music to listen to, or videos of bands performing then you’ve come to the right place.

I’m always searching for new music or classic tunes from any era, style or genre that I haven’t heard yet. As I’m under no illusion there will be bloody loads.

So if you’re digging what I do, or you’re making music and want to send me your stuff, or you just want to say hello then drop us a line on twits @jerichokeys

I’m always up for talking music (or Leeds United) with other like minded folk. Until then, keep on keeping on!
