So, Stockport 5 piece Blossoms released their highly anticipated and hyped about debut album on Friday August 5th, which obviously went straight to number 1 the week after.
To support the release they played two shows at Manchester Gorilla, which I can honestly say from first-hand experience was fantastic and surpassed my expectations.
Before the first show at 5pm, I went to meet Tom, Joe and Myles on the tour bus to have a chat about the album.
We also spoke about that spat they had with the Sleaford Mods, who ‘My Favourite Room’ is about, how their single ‘Charlemagne’ was written and why they decided to drop a Hacienda piano sequence out their track Texia.
First off though, I thought I’d find out if they hoped their record would still be spoken about in 50 year’s time. They released their self-titled debut record 50 years to the day that The Beatles released Revolver.
